Trick or Treat?

Failure to reach an agreement on Brexit before 31st October 2019 has forced Sajid Javid, the current Chancellor, to delay the Budget. The Budget was previously planned for 6 November 2019 but has now been postponed with no new date reinstated. With the General Election planned for 12 December 2019, it is likely the Budget will take place after this date when things have settled.

With Brexit still looming and no clear sign of everything being in place and no deal, we may have to wait until 31 January 2020 being the latest deadline date now proposed. This is also the tax return filing and payment deadline. Brexit AND tax filing in one go!

So what better reason to get your tax return filed now instead of leaving it to the last minute.
